PLC Technician
Job Description:
Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented PLC Technician to join our team and support automation and controls projects in various industrial settings. This role offers strong growth potential, hands-on learning, and great benefits—including a company truck, gas card, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the programming, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Help with HMI/SCADA development and support
- Participate in fieldwork including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems and work performed
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule every other weekend to support urgent service needs
Requirements:
- 3 + years of hands-on experience with PLCs or completion of relevant training/certification program
- Basic knowledge of ladder logic and industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with electrical panels and low-voltage control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot control systems and follow technical documentation
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel locally for on-site work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
- Exposure to HMI/SCADA systems and platforms
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems
