Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technicians to join our team on large-scale commercial projects across the Denver metro area. This is a hands-on field role for technicians who take pride in clean, code-compliant installs and have a solid understanding of fire alarm systems from rough-in to final inspection.

Responsibilities:

  • Install complete commercial fire alarm systems, including control panels, strobes, horn/strobe devices, pull stations, smoke and heat detectors, and duct detectors
  • Run and terminate fire alarm wire (FPLR/FPLP) throughout commercial structures, including proper dressing, bundling, and support per code
  • Terminate devices and panels neatly and accurately — including NAC circuits, SLC loops, and power connections
  • Install and wire fire alarm control panels from manufacturers such as Notifier, Simplex, EST, Honeywell, or similar
  • Bend and install conduit (EMT, rigid) for panel feeds and device runs; set junction boxes, device boxes, and supports
  • Dress and label wire and cable in panels and pull boxes to a professional standard
  • Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, AHJs, and other trades on active job sites
  • Perform rough-in and trim-out phases on new commercial construction and tenant improvement projects
  • Follow NFPA 72 standards and local codes throughout all phases of installation
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience installing commercial fire alarm systems (panels, strobes, horns, pull stations, detectors)
  • Proficiency in running and terminating fire alarm wire (FPLR/FPLP)
  • Experience dressing and organizing cables in panels and enclosures
  • Conduit bending and installation experience (EMT required; rigid a plus)
  • Familiarity with NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret fire alarm drawings and riser diagrams
  • NICET certification (any level) preferred but not required
  • Low-voltage license or card (Colorado) is a plus. Comfortable working in active commercial construction environments — multi-story buildings, data centers, warehouses, and similar
  • Strong attention to detail; takes pride in workmanship and code-compliant installs
  • Dependable, communicates well, and works effectively with other trades

Compensation & Details:

  • Pay Rate: $25–$30/hr depending on experience and certifications
  • Work primarily within the Denver metro area
  • Occasional short-term travel may be required; per diem and travel expenses covered
  • Personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement provided
